Onur is a Melbourne-based Guitarist, Composer and Educator,

He began his musical career in Izmir/Turkey, he quickly became immersed in the local music scene, and has had the privilege of collaborating with some of the most renowned musicians in the regions.

 

In 2006 he took the stage with his quartet at prestigious festivals across Turkey. These included the Ankara ODTU Jazz Festival, Eskisehir Jazz Festival, and the Izmir Jazz Festival, among other private concerts, and toured through his homeland and Europe with his band and as featuring artist. He also featured on music program series on Television and composed music for documents and movies.

Onur is also a well-experienced educator, He served as the department coordinator at Yasar University's Jazz Department, where he directed the Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Harmony/Arranging and Guitar classes. Additionally, Onur offers private guitar lessons at his own studio 

In 2018, Onur relocated to Melbourne and embarked on a journey to reestablish his musical career in the city. He took to the stage with his new quartet, featuring the exceptional talents of Felix Bloxsom, Philip Rex, and Julian Banks. Together, they have been performing Onur's fresh and original compositions throughout the local area.

Throughout his career, Onur has had the privilege of collaborating with a multitude of renowned local and international musicians. These collaborations have included notable artists such as Howard Curtis, Ted Piltzecker, Doug Richards, Taylor Barnett, Cem Aksel, Matthew Hall, Tamer Temel, Robert Vince, Philip Rex, and Felix Bloxsom.
